A report on Australian welfare says certain groups within the population continue to be disadvantaged despite an overall high quality of life. The Australian Institute of Health and Welfare biennual report is a study into Australian population and welfare and lists Indigenous Australians and recent migrants as part of the population who are more likely to require access to welfare services.

Here I speak to director of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare David Kalisch.
